What to prepare before ordering uniforms

Eight pieces of information to have ready before the first consultation — so you receive a proposal within budget from the very first meeting.

What to prepare before ordering uniforms

A productive uniform consultation starts not with a catalogue but with a few numbers and decisions only your company can provide. With these eight items to hand, our consultant can table a proposal with an indicative budget in the first meeting.

1. Headcount by department

Not just the total, but by department, role and gender — for example 12 female service staff, 4 male managers, 3 security officers. This drives which designs are needed, which cloth to order and how far the unit price can come down.

2. Which roles should look different

Should visitors be able to tell a manager from a service officer at a glance? That question decides the uniform model — see Choosing a uniform by role.

3. Your brand identity

  • Vector logo files (AI, PDF or SVG) for clean embroidery and printing.
  • Brand colours (Pantone or CMYK), or your brand guidelines.
  • Anything the guidelines rule out — prohibited colours, logo placement rules.

4. The working environment

Air-conditioned offices, time outdoors, constant movement, machinery? Home laundering or industrial washing? The environment decides the cloth — see Choosing uniform cloth.

5. The date you need them

Production typically takes four to six weeks from sample approval, plus the time for consultation, design and sampling beforehand. If the date is fixed, contact us early so the atelier can reserve capacity.

6. An indicative budget per person

A range is enough. It lets us recommend the right cloth and the right degree of tailoring. See Budgeting for uniforms.

7. The final approver

Who signs off the sample? When the decision-maker joins early, the process is not stretched by repeated revisions.

8. Your current uniform, if any

What do people like and dislike — heat, creasing, fit, fading? Bringing one old set is the fastest way to show what needs to improve.
