Trousers, skirts & dresses

Get the lower half right and the whole uniform comes together.

Trousers, skirts and dresses are often an afterthought, yet they decide whether a uniform looks composed: the right trouser break, a waistband that stays put, a skirt that survives sitting. We tailor each piece and cut from the same bolt as the jacket so the shade matches exactly.

Why Mon Amie

Trousers, skirts & dresses, tailored like executive clothing

Since 1991 Hoang Vy – Mon Amie has tailored for Saigon's business leaders. Your uniforms are made by the same tailors, in the same 1,000 m² atelier on 3/2 Street.

The team at the industrial machines
  1. 01

Measured one by one, never a generic size

Our mobile team measures every employee at your office, on your schedule. Measurements are filed by staff ID, so re-orders need no re-measuring.

  2. 02

Cut from the jacket's own bolt

Trousers and skirts come from the same cloth lot as the jacket, so there is never a shade mismatch — an obvious flaw when pieces are sourced separately.

  3. 03

Dresses for reception and client care

Well over a hundred dress designs to draw on — modest, flattering cuts with scarves and belts in your brand colours for reception and client-care teams.

  4. 04

    Three-year alteration warranty

People change shape and roles — alterations are free for three years. New joiners are tailored into the exact design and shade the team already wears.

Who it is for

Trousers, skirts & dresses suit

The right line for the right role — budget goes where it makes the strongest impression.

  • Office teams in shirts with trousers or skirts every day — the foundation of any programme
  • Reception and front-of-house women in office dresses with scarves and belts in brand colours
  • Tellers and advisers seated at a counter for eight hours — cloth that holds a crease through long sitting
  • Project sales teams whose trousers must match the jacket exactly when standing side by side
  • Teachers and school staff whose trousers and skirts must last a full school year
  • Companies that already have shirts or jackets and need the lower half cut from the same bolt to complete the set

Four things decide the final price

  • Cloth

The single largest factor. The same jacket in a 40% wool blend and in pure Italian wool differ several times over.

  • Volume

Larger orders spread pattern-making and line set-up across more garments. This is where real savings come from — not from lowering quality.

  • Degree of tailoring

Making to a standard size chart costs less than measuring every person. For leadership and client-facing roles we always recommend measuring.

  • Finishing details

Logo embroidery, custom linings, special buttons, contrast trims — each adds a small amount that is best budgeted from the start.

Up close

The details that make a proper uniform

  1. 01

    Waistband

A stiffened, roll-resistant waistband; the back is cut in two halves with a centre seam so the waist can be let out or taken in at the atelier under warranty. Skirt and dress waistbands carry a grip lining to keep the shirt in place.

  2. 02

    Leg & crease

A permanent front crease, or a flat front for a trimmer line; tapered legs narrowing to the hem. Hems are overlocked and double-turned, with cloth left inside to let down later.

  3. 03

    Fastenings

A metal zip under a fly shield with a double hook on men's trousers; women's trousers and skirts close with a concealed side or back zip; dresses with an invisible back zip.

  4. 04

    Vents & darts

Pencil skirts with a back or kick-pleat vent for an easy stride; front and back darts so the skirt shapes without creasing across the lap. Dresses are fully lined so they neither show through nor cling.

  5. 05

    Pockets

Men's trousers: two slanted front pockets and a buttoned jetted back pocket; women's trousers and skirts may go without for a flat line. Pocket bags in hard-wearing cotton that outlast repeated washing.

  6. 06

    Logo & names

No outside logo on trousers, skirts or dresses. Staff IDs printed on an inside waistband label keep distribution and central laundering sorted; hem lengths are recorded per wearer.

Size chart or made to measure

Two ways to make it — chosen by role, not by guesswork

To a size chart

  • Orders of 20 or more for office teams — two or three pairs or skirts per person in rotation
  • Companies issuing uniforms on a cycle, with frequent staff changes
  • Trousers and skirts worn with tees, polos or aprons in operational teams
  • Multi-branch programmes delivered at once, with hems set to each wearer on delivery

Made to measure

  • Trousers worn with a tailored jacket, so leg line and length match the coat
  • Office dresses for reception and front of house — size-chart dresses usually miss at the waist or bust
  • Anyone whose waist and hip fall in different sizes, or with very long or short legs
  • Leadership and management who need the whole suit measured from top to bottom

Both can be combined in one programme: office staff to a chart, managers and client-facing roles measured. On-site measuring →

Process

Six steps, no surprises

  1. 01

    Consultation & site visit

We visit your workplace to understand your brand identity, the dress code of each department, working conditions and budget. You receive a written proposal with an indicative budget.

  2. 02

    Design & cloth selection

Three design directions built around your brand colours, presented with real cloth swatches. Materials chosen for the tropics and for how hard each role works.

  3. 03

    Sample approval

A complete sample garment, worn and reviewed by your own staff. Production begins only once you sign off the sample — no surprises at delivery.

  4. 04

    Individual measuring

Our mobile team measures every employee at your office, on your schedule. All measurements are kept on file against employee records for future orders.

  5. 05

    Production in our atelier

A 1,000 m² atelier with 80+ tailors. Quality is checked at three stages — cutting, assembly and finishing — with weekly progress reports.

  6. 06

    Delivery & 3-year warranty

Delivered, re-fitted and altered on site for anyone who needs it. Free alterations for three years, and new joiners can reorder against the approved design.

Questions

Before you ask for a quote

What is the minimum order for trousers, skirts & dresses?

20 pieces. The larger the order, the more pattern and set-up costs are shared across each garment — a genuine saving that never touches quality.

How long does production take?

Typically four to six weeks from sample approval, depending on volume and cloth. For launches and events with fixed dates, let us know early so we can reserve atelier time.

Do you measure at our premises?

Yes. Our mobile team measures every employee at your office on your schedule, including outside working hours. Measurements are filed by staff ID for future orders.

Is there a warranty?

Yes — a three-year free alteration warranty. If someone's size changes or a garment needs adjusting, simply send it back to the atelier.
