The challenge
BOSCH's Vietnam office brings together Vietnamese and expatriate staff, so a uniform suit has to fit a wide range of builds while keeping to one standard. For a multinational, measuring and cloth selection need to be completed in a single session without disrupting meetings.
Requirements
- Matching suits for a multinational team of varied builds.
- Cloth and colour reviewed and settled at the office.
- Measuring within working hours, each person away from their desk for only a few minutes.
- Measurements kept on file for new joiners.
Solution
- A measuring point set up in a BOSCH meeting room: one tailor per person, a colleague recording at the table.
- Sample jackets and cloth laid out on the table so fabric and colour could be judged during the session.
- Every employee, Vietnamese and expatriate, measured individually to the same set of points.
- Measurements filed against employee records; a sample approved before production, with three years of free alterations.
Process
The session ran in a BOSCH meeting room: one tailor measured each person while a colleague recorded the figures at the table, so staff came in turn without leaving the office.
Sample jackets and cloth were laid out so the client could judge fabric and colour during the session itself.
Following Mon Amie's standard six steps: consultation → design & cloth → sample approval → individual measuring → production → delivery & three-year warranty. See the process →
Outcome
- The whole team measured in one visit, with no trip to a showroom.
- Cloth and colour reviewed on real swatches the same day as measuring.
- Each person's suit cut to their own measurements.
