The challenge

Dat Hoa Plastics needed a complete suiting programme — jackets, waistcoats, trousers, skirts and shirts — for men and women at its plant, finished before Tết. The office staff of a manufacturing plant cannot leave the site en masse to be measured, so every step had to happen at the company.

02

Requirements

  • One suit colour for men and women, differentiated by trousers and skirts.
  • Each garment tailored to the individual rather than issued by standard size.
  • Measuring, fitting and delivery all on site, around the plant's working hours.
  • Completion before the Tết holiday.
03

Solution

  • 27 Nov 2024: our team measured shoulders, sleeves, collar, jacket and trouser lengths for every employee at the plant, recorded per person and kept on file against employee records.
  • 16 Dec 2024: basted grey suits brought back for a fitting on each person in the lobby — waistcoats pinned, hems set, every correction agreed before finishing.
  • 10 Jan 2025: garments delivered in Mon Amie bags, tried on for a final adjustment and signed for at the table.
  • Three years of free alterations on the whole order.

Process

Measuring (27 Nov 2024): the Mon Amie team visited the Dat Hoa plant and measured shoulders, sleeves, collar, jacket and trouser lengths for every employee in the office, with each person's figures written into the book.

Baste fitting (16 Dec 2024): our tailors adjusted each grey suit on men and women, pinned waistcoats and set trouser hems in the company lobby — every correction agreed before finishing.

Delivery (10 Jan 2025): garments arrived in Mon Amie bags; each person tried on their light-grey suit — trousers for men, skirts for women — for a final adjustment, then signed for it, ready for Tết.

Following Mon Amie's standard six steps: consultation → design & cloth → sample approval → individual measuring → production → delivery & three-year warranty. See the process →

05

Outcome

  • Three on-site visits in little more than a month, completed ahead of Tết.
  • Every employee received a light-grey suit cut to their own measurements, fitted twice.
  • Measurements on file, so new joiners can be made to the approved design.
