The challenge
The PV GAS site lies well outside the city, and many staff wear protective workwear during hours. Bringing the whole team into town for measuring was not practical — the measuring team had to travel to the site and work to the unit's schedule.
Requirements
- Measuring at the site without interrupting operations.
- Staff measured even while in protective workwear.
- Sample garments on hand so staff could see the cut before measuring.
- Measurements kept so later orders need no second visit.
Solution
- The Mon Amie team brought its kit and sample garments to the PV GAS site.
- Each person measured in turn, including those in protective workwear, with figures recorded at a table beside the samples.
- The session ran to the schedule set by the unit.
- Measurements filed against employee records; sample approved before production, three years of free alterations.
Process
No trip to head office or a showroom: the team came to the site and measured each person in turn, recording figures at a table beside the sample garments.
For clients outside the city, we send the whole measuring team to work to the client's schedule.
Following Mon Amie's standard six steps: consultation → design & cloth → sample approval → individual measuring → production → delivery & three-year warranty. See the process →
Outcome
- Every member of staff measured on site, with no trip to head office or a showroom.
- Each person's measurements taken and recorded in a single visit.
- Figures on file for future top-up orders.
