Uniforms for import-export companies: standards and cost
Import-export company uniforms for documentation and sales staff: polished, comfortable for long hours. Mon Amie Uniform covers standards and prices.

A good uniform for an import-export company helps documentation staff and international sales staff look polished in front of overseas partners, agents and regulators. It rests on three things: a tidy, business-appropriate look that makes a good impression on partners; comfort for hours of paperwork at a desk; and enough flexibility to move between an ordinary workday and a day hosting visitors.
Two groups, two different needs
In an import-export company these two groups rarely share one outfit:
- Documentation staff sit for long periods with a computer and stacks of paperwork and see few outside visitors. They need shirts that stay smooth at the elbow and waist, and trousers or skirts with a little give.
- International sales staff meet partners, host overseas delegations, attend trade fairs and negotiate. They need a suit, shirt and trousers that hold their shape and project professionalism.
In terms of items, documentation staff usually wear a men's shirt (from 600,000 VND) or women's shirt (from 480,000 VND) with trousers from 600,000 VND. International sales staff add men's business suits (from 3,000,000 VND) or women's business suits (from 1,500,000 VND), and women can pair them with a skirt from 600,000 VND. These are starting prices for each category, not a quotation.
Both groups should still share a few visible elements, such as main colour, logo position and name badge, so people can tell they belong to one company. Our page on corporate and office uniforms shows how several roles are dressed within one organisation.
Standards worth checking
- Comfort when seated: fabric with light stretch, seams that do not press at the waist or underarm, and shirts that do not crease heavily at the elbow.
- Colour: navy, grey, white and other neutral tones mix easily and suit an international working environment. Brand colour can appear in a scarf, tie, badge or trim.
- Bilingual badges: staff dealing with overseas partners benefit from a clear badge in Vietnamese and English.
- Two levels of dress: one set for ordinary days, and a step up with a jacket or waistcoat for important meetings, so staff do not need to buy extras.
- Wash durability: colour and shape hold after repeated laundering.

Fabrics for an import-export office
Real swatches are shown to your team at the design stage. Common fabric families:
| Fabric family | Strengths | Watch out for | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cotton-polyester blend | Breathable, low-crease, durable | Less soft than pure cotton | All-day shirts |
| Polyester-viscose with spandex | Holds shape, light stretch | Press on medium heat | Jackets, trousers, skirts |
| Cotton piqué | Absorbent, hard-wearing | Softer structure, not for jackets | Polos for warehouse or cargo checks |
What it costs
Real prices depend on fabric, style and quantity. Mon Amie publishes these starting prices, with the full list on our pricing page:
- Men's shirt from 600,000 VND (minimum 20); women's shirt from 480,000 VND (20).
- Trousers and skirts from 600,000 VND (20).
- Men's business suits from 3,000,000 VND (5 sets); women's business suits from 1,500,000 VND (5 sets); waistcoat from 600,000 VND (5).
- T-shirts and polos from 150,000 VND (30); accessories (ties, scarves) from 150,000 VND (20).
Because suits have a low minimum, a company can tailor suits only for the international sales team and managers, and dress documentation staff in shirts and trousers. A formal proposal follows the on-site survey.
Common mistakes
- One style for both documentation and international sales, leaving one group too stiff or the other under-dressed.
- Choosing fabric that looks good but creases badly when seated.
- No plan for new hires. New staff are measured individually and made to the approved sample, while measurements already taken are stored under employee IDs for later batches.
- Placing the logo where a tie or lanyard covers it.
From survey to warranty

Allow 4–6 weeks after sample approval.
Frequently asked questions
Should documentation and international sales staff dress differently?
They should share colour and logo but differ in the set. Documentation staff sit most of the day, so shirts and comfortable trousers come first; international sales staff meet partners and benefit from a jacket or waistcoat.
Do we need suits for every employee?
No. Suits have a minimum of 5 pieces, which suits the team that hosts partners, plus managers. Everyone else can wear shirts, trousers or polos.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the item: suits, women's jackets and waistcoats from 5 pieces; shirts, trousers, skirts and accessories from 20; T-shirts and polos from 30. We explain how this applies to your mix during consultation.
How do new hires get their uniforms?
New staff are measured individually and made to the approved sample so they match the existing team; measurements already taken are stored under employee IDs for later batches. Alterations are covered by the free 3-year warranty at every showroom.
