Shopping mall uniforms: standards, fabrics and cost
Shopping mall uniforms for reception, information desks and floor managers: how to assign roles, choose fabrics and budget, with shirts from 480,000 VND.

A shopping mall uniform has one job to do before anything else: let a visitor see at a glance who can help, while keeping a professional look that suits a shared public space. Reception, information desk and floor management teams usually wear jackets or waistcoats over shirts with trousers or skirts, each role carrying its own accent. This guide covers role planning, fabrics and a cost framework for mall management.
Three roles, three levels of formality
These teams meet visitors in very different situations, so one cut for all three rarely works:
| Role | Main situation | Suggested outfit | Identifying accent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lobby or management-office reception | Welcoming partners, tenants and visitors | Women's or men's jacket, shirt, trousers or skirt | Pin, scarf or tie in brand colour |
| Information desk | Directions, enquiries, shopper feedback | Waistcoat over shirt, trousers or skirt | Waistcoat in a stronger shade |
| Floor manager | Walking the floor, resolving issues, coordinating tenants | Neat jacket, shirt, trousers | Shirt or accessory colour distinct from the others |
Malls are often tied to property developers or operators, so our page on real estate uniforms is a useful reference for how teams in that sector are dressed.
Standards: easy to spot, durable on the move
- Contrast with visitors: shoppers wear common tones such as black, white, grey and denim. Staff in the same shades vanish into the crowd, while a single accent in a scarf, tie or waistcoat makes them easy to find.
- Stretch for movement: floor managers walk and stand through the shift, so trousers and tops need light give for bending or pointing the way.
- Low-crease fabric: reception must still look pressed after hours of sitting and standing.
- Visible name badge: a fixed position that no scarf or collar covers.
- Consistency across shifts: an approved sample and measurements stored under employee IDs mean later joiners look like the first group.
- Calm presence: very bright colours compete with tenant signage, so choose a restrained tone with one accent.

Fabrics for staff who keep moving
Malls are air-conditioned, but people still walk all day, so fabric must breathe and recover its shape. Browse our fabric library in advance; real swatches are shown at the design stage.
| Item | Typical fabric family | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Jackets, waistcoats | Polyester-viscose, optionally with spandex | Holds shape, resists creasing, light stretch |
| Shirts | Cotton-polyester blend | Breathable, quick to press, durable |
| Trousers, skirts | Stretch polyester-viscose | Keeps its crease, comfortable on foot |
| Scarves, ties | Smooth, softly glossy weave | Adds colour without weight |

Rolling it out
Malls run in shifts, so gathering staff during office hours is hard. Our mobile measuring team comes to you and measures each person on your schedule, including outside office hours. Production begins only once your company signs the approved sample, and delivery takes 4–6 weeks after sample approval, covering measuring, making and handover. Quality is checked at three stages (cutting, assembly, finishing), with weekly progress updates. At delivery, staff try the garments and we adjust on the spot, with free alterations for 3 years at every showroom.
Hoàng Vy – Mon Amie runs a 1,000 m² workshop on 3/2 Street with more than 80 skilled tailors, working with more than 500 companies each year. You can request a quotation on our quote page or call 0888.111.118 (same number on Zalo).
Frequently asked questions
Should mall staff wear jackets or just shirts?
It depends on the role. Receptionists and floor managers often wear jackets to signal responsibility, while an information desk can use a waistcoat over a shirt for a lighter look. A shared colour family with different details lets visitors read roles without checking name badges.
Do all positions have to be ordered together?
No, but ordering in one batch keeps fabric colour and cut aligned. Later hires are measured individually and made to the approved sample, and the measurements of people already measured are stored under employee IDs for future batches.
How long does a measuring session take?
It depends on headcount and the number of items per person, so we do not quote a general figure. During consultation the team plans a schedule around your shifts, including outside office hours.
How should we choose an accent colour so visitors spot staff without clashing with tenants?
Use a restrained base tone with a single accent in a scarf, tie or waistcoat. Avoid matching the shades shoppers commonly wear, such as black, white, grey and denim, and avoid very bright colours that compete with tenant signage. Mon Amie presents three options in your brand colours so management can compare before approving the sample.
