Insurance company uniforms: standards, fabrics and cost

An insurance company uniform for advisors has to build trust at the first meeting: neat, composed and unshowy, yet comfortable enough to wear through a day of travelling, sitting in meetings and receiving clients. The usual set is a jacket or waistcoat over a shirt, with trousers or a skirt, finished with a tie or scarf in the brand colour. This guide helps you choose according to where your advisors actually meet clients.

Where advisors meet clients

Each setting asks something different of the uniform:

  • Office or service branch: clients come to sign or ask about cover. The look should be formal enough for a setting with documents and devices.
  • Client's home or workplace: advisors visit, so the set should feel approachable rather than stiff, while still clearly representing the company.
  • Cafés and public places: a uniform helps the client recognise the person they arranged to meet, especially at a first meeting.
  • Seminars and product events: the whole team stands side by side, so colour and cut must be even.

Many advisors move around a great deal in a day, which makes low-crease, breathable fabric as important as the style itself.

Standards for looking trustworthy and staying comfortable

  • Calm colours: deep blue, grey or beige with one brand accent. Avoid loud colours that can undercut a conversation about protection and benefits.
  • Well-judged fit: a jacket that is not loose at the shoulder or tight when seated, with sleeves long enough when reaching to sign.
  • Fabric that resists creasing after car and desk time, since backs and knees crease most for people who sit a lot.
  • Identifying accessories: a tie or scarf in brand colour and a name badge in a fixed, visible position.
  • Team consistency: one pattern and one cloth tone, so a group standing together looks aligned.

When the advisor team changes: why IDs matter

Advisor teams are usually recruited in waves. Mon Amie measures each person at your office and stores measurements under employee IDs, so later orders do not repeat measuring for people already measured. Someone who joins is measured individually and made to the approved sample, so the uniform still matches the existing team. Free alteration warranty for 3 years at every showroom also lets advisors refit when their build changes.

Specific styles and cuts are in the design library.

Process and timing

Mon Amie's six-step process starts with a survey and consultation at your company, ending in a proposal with a price range. Then comes design and fabric selection with three options in your brand colours, an approved sample (production only after you sign off), individual measuring at your office, production in our workshop, and delivery to your door. Allow 4–6 weeks after sample approval. Measuring at your premises, including outside office hours, suits advisors who are with clients all day.

Frequently asked questions

Should insurance advisors wear a jacket or just a shirt?

It depends on the setting. A jacket suits office meetings and contract signing, while a waistcoat or a shirt with tie or scarf works better when advisors visit clients often. You can also combine both: jackets for events, waistcoats for ordinary days.

Which colours build trust?

Calm tones such as deep blue, grey or beige, with one brand accent on a tie or scarf. Mon Amie presents three options in your brand colours so you can compare them with real swatches.

What happens when we recruit more advisors?

New advisors are measured individually and made to the approved sample. Measurements of people already measured are stored under employee IDs for later orders.

What fabric should advisors choose if they spend a lot of time in cars and at desks?

Favour breathable, low-crease cloth, since backs and knees crease most for people who sit a lot. Polyester-viscose blends are commonly used for jackets and trousers because they hold shape and resist creasing, though results depend on the weave and finish. Handle real swatches and wash a sample garment before signing off.
