Language centre uniforms: standards, fabrics and cost

A language centre uniform helps teachers, enrolment advisers and receptionists look professional while staying approachable to students and parents. A good set rests on three things: colours that match the centre's identity, a cut comfortable enough for standing at the board, writing and moving between desks, and fabric that holds its colour through many washes.

Who wears what

Each role has its own rhythm, so we suggest this split:

Role Main work Suggestion Note
Teachers Teaching, writing on the board, walking the room Polo or neat shirt with trousers Comfortable shoulders and underarms when raising an arm
Enrolment advisers Meeting parents and students, explaining courses Shirt with a ladies' jacket or waistcoat More polished than teaching staff
Reception, administration Greeting students, taking enquiries Shirt, skirt or trousers Same palette as the whole centre
Teaching assistants Supporting teachers, managing the class Polo Easy to wash, breathable

If your centre has foreign teachers, measuring each person lets sizes match real builds instead of a generic size chart. Mention your needs when contacting us so Mon Amie can advise on how to coordinate.

Standards worth checking

A language centre sits between two needs: serious enough to reassure parents, relaxed enough for teachers to engage students. When approving a sample, review these points:

  • Formality by audience: children's classes call for easy movement and brighter colours; adult or exam-preparation classes can be more polished.
  • Shoulders and underarms: teachers raise an arm to write on the board, so test the sample with an arm raised to check it does not pull or ride up.
  • Colour: marker stains show on light shirts. Mid-tones or brand tones keep a cleaner look for longer.
  • Sleeves: short or three-quarter, handy for boards, pens and projectors.
  • Outer layer: air-conditioned classrooms can be cold, so waistcoats and jackets should go on and off easily.

Education teams share many requirements, so our page on school and education uniforms is a useful companion. Mon Amie Uniform has worked with COSMO Academy, and the photo below records one project with them.

Fabrics for a long teaching day

Teachers may run several sessions a day, so fabric must breathe, resist creasing and keep its shape through many washes. Browse our fabric library first; real swatches are shown at the design stage.

Fabric family Strengths Watch out for Suits
Cotton piqué Absorbent, hard-wearing, easy to wash Soft structure, not for jackets Teacher and assistant polos
Cotton-polyester blend Breathable, low-crease Less soft than pure cotton Shirts
Polyester-viscose with spandex Holds shape, light stretch Press on medium heat Ladies' jackets, trousers, skirts, waistcoats

Planning the cost

Mon Amie publishes starting prices by category; real prices depend on fabric, style and quantity.

Item From Minimum quantity
T-shirts and polos 150,000 VND 30
Men's / women's shirt 600,000 / 480,000 VND 20
Trousers and skirts 600,000 VND 20
Women's business suits 1,500,000 VND 5 sets
Waistcoat 600,000 VND 5

Each figure above is the starting price for that item alone, not a quotation. Small centres should ask how minimums apply to each group; we explain during consultation.

Six steps, and the term calendar

Hoàng Vy – Mon Amie was founded in 1991 and works with more than 500 companies each year. The six-step process:

  1. Survey and consultation at your centre, ending with a proposal and price range.
  2. Design and fabrics: three options in your brand colours, with real swatches.
  3. Approved sample: production starts only after sign-off.
  4. Individual measuring on site on your schedule, including outside office hours, which suits teachers on evening or weekend shifts; measurements are stored under employee IDs.
  5. Production in our 1,000 m² workshop on 3/2 Street, with quality checks at three stages (cutting, assembly, finishing) and weekly updates.
  6. Delivery, fitting and adjustment on site, plus free alteration warranty for 3 years at every showroom.

Allow 4–6 weeks after sample approval. To wear the uniform from the start of a new term, count backwards from that date and raise it early in consultation. To request a quotation, submit your details on our quote page or call 0888.111.118 (the same number on Zalo); Mon Amie will schedule a survey at your centre and then send a proposal with a price range.

Frequently asked questions

What should teachers of young learners wear?

A polo or neat shirt with comfortable trousers, in brighter tones that still follow the centre's identity. During sample approval, raise an arm, bend down and squat to check comfort.

What is the minimum order for a centre with a few dozen staff?

It depends on the item: women's jackets and waistcoats from 5, shirts, trousers, skirts and accessories from 20, T-shirts and polos from 30. We explain how the minimums apply to each group during consultation.

How do new teachers and new branches get uniforms?

They order additional pieces from the approved sample so they match the existing team, with measurements stored under employee IDs. Alterations are covered by the free 3-year warranty at every showroom.

When are teachers on evening or weekend shifts measured?

Our mobile team measures on site on your centre's schedule, including outside office hours, so slots can fit when teachers are free. Each person's measurements are stored under their employee ID for later orders.
