The challenge
Weset English Center needed uniforms for its teachers and consultants: a youthful look that lets students and parents spot centre staff at a glance, with measuring fitted around the centre's opening hours.
Requirements
- A youthful uniform that students and parents recognise instantly.
- One identity shared by teachers and consultants alike.
- Each garment cut to the individual's measurements, men and women.
- Measuring at the centre during working hours, with no trips to a showroom.
Solution
- A classroom used as the measuring point: a tailor with each person, a colleague recording at the desk.
- Every teacher and consultant measured individually, to the same set of measurements.
- Staff came in turn and went back to class or the front desk, so the centre kept running.
Process
A Weset classroom, with the centre's familiar yellow stripe and posters on the walls, served as the measuring point: the Mon Amie tailor measured shoulders, sleeves and jacket length for each person, while a colleague recorded the figures at a desk with notebook and laptop.
Teachers and consultants, men and women, came in turn; many were in the centre's white logo shirts and staff lanyards, and the session ran during the centre's normal working hours.
Following Mon Amie's standard six steps: consultation → design & cloth → sample approval → individual measuring → production → delivery & three-year warranty. See the process →
Outcome
- The Mon Amie team completed the measuring in a single visit to the centre.
- Every teacher and consultant has their own measurements for a garment made to fit.
