The challenge
This UEH institute teaches and also hosts seminars and events with the business community, so its staff need coordinated, polished attire when receiving partners. The team keeps full office-hours diaries, so measuring had to happen at the institute with each person away from their desk for only minutes.
Requirements
- A consistent uniform for men and women who meet companies and partners.
- Measuring at the institute, between tasks.
- Garments cut to each person's own measurements.
- Measurements kept for new staff and later orders.
Solution
- A measuring point set up in the ground-floor lobby; staff stepped out in turn and went back to work.
- The tailor took full shoulder, sleeve and jacket-length measurements, recorded straight into the book by a colleague.
- Measurements filed against staff records; sample approved before production.
- Three years of free alterations.
Process
The session took place in the institute's ground-floor lobby, with staff stepping out between tasks.
Each person's shoulder, sleeve and jacket-length measurements went straight into the book.
Following Mon Amie's standard six steps: consultation → design & cloth → sample approval → individual measuring → production → delivery & three-year warranty. See the process →
Outcome
- A compact session in the lobby that left the institute's schedule untouched.
- Each member of staff with a complete set of measurements recorded on the spot.
- Figures on file for future top-ups.
