Uniforms for spas and beauty salons: standards and cost

Spa and salon uniforms need soft, absorbent fabric and a cut that lets therapists move. Mon Amie Uniform covers standards, fabrics and prices from 300,000 VND.

Uniforms for spas and beauty salons: standards and cost

A spa or beauty salon uniform helps consultants and therapists convey cleanliness and calm while staying comfortable through hours of hands-on work. A good one passes three tests: fabric that is soft, absorbent and easy to launder, a cut that does not restrict hand and shoulder movement, and colours that match the space and the brand.

Who wears what in a spa or beauty salon

Uniforms follow the level of contact and the type of work:

  • Consultants greet guests and present treatments. A shirt or neat-collared blouse with trousers or a skirt is the base, and neutral tones build trust.
  • Therapists work with their hands for hours, so they need a low neckline, short or three-quarter sleeves and stretch trousers. This group falls under industry uniforms, from 300,000 VND.
  • Reception and managers wear the same tones, with a waistcoat or ladies' jacket so guests can spot the person in charge.
  • Support and laundry staff wear T-shirts or polos that breathe and wash easily.

Standards to review before approving a sample

Therapists bend, reach and hold postures for long periods, so judge the uniform by movement, not only by eye:

  • Absorbency and breathability: treatment rooms are usually warm and therapists perspire; stuffy cloth troubles guest and staff alike.
  • Oil marks: essential oils and massage cream transfer to fabric. Polyester blends often hold oil marks longer than cotton, so wash-test a real massage-oil stain on the sample before approval.
  • Arm and shoulder movement: short or three-quarter sleeves, light stretch at underarms and shoulders, and trousers wide enough to move in but not so wide that they catch.
  • Neckline, pockets, buttons: a low neckline and small, flat pockets; avoid large buttons or hard fastenings on the chest and abdomen, since therapists lean close to guests.
  • Colour: light, soft tones feel relaxing, but pure white shows oil quickly; mid-tones or deeper pastels usually stay cleaner.

Spas often sit inside hotels or resorts, and our page on hotel and restaurant uniforms shows how service teams are dressed as one group. Mon Amie Uniform has worked with Bài Thơ Hạ Long, and the photo below shows one project in this group.

Frequently asked questions

What colour should a spa uniform be?

Choose a light, soft tone or your brand colour, and avoid pure white because it shows oil quickly. Mid-tones or deeper pastels usually stay cleaner. Mon Amie presents three options in your colours so you can compare before approving.

Which fabric suits massage therapists?

Favour breathable, absorbent, lightly stretchy and easy-care cloth, such as a cotton-polyester blend for tops and polyester-spandex for trousers. Wash-test an oil stain on a real sample before approval.

What if our spa has only a few staff?

Industry uniforms have a minimum of 20 and women's jackets and waistcoats of 5. Small venues should speak with Mon Amie so we can explain how the minimums apply during consultation.

How do new hires get their uniforms?

New staff are measured individually and made to the approved sample so they match the team; measurements already taken are stored under employee IDs for later batches. Alterations are covered by the free 3-year warranty at every showroom.
