Construction company uniforms: standards, fabrics and cost

A good uniform for a construction company tells the site team apart from the office team and keeps the company's image intact in front of owners and partners. It rests on three things: fabric that is durable, breathable and survives heavy laundering; a neat cut for office staff; and enough ease to wear safety gear over it. One point should be clear from the start: a uniform does not replace the protective equipment required by a project's safety rules.

Who wears what

The two main groups work in nearly opposite conditions, so uniforms usually split like this:

  • Site engineers and supervisors work outdoors in sun and dust. A polo or long-sleeved shirt that breathes yet covers the arms, with trousers that have practical pockets.
  • Project directors and managers move between site and meeting rooms with owners, so they need a neat shirt-and-trousers set, plus a jacket for formal meetings.
  • Office teams such as accounts, contracts and HR wear shirts with trousers or skirts, and jackets in leadership roles.
  • Technical and security staff on site have their own page for security and technical uniforms.

Standards worth checking

Before approving a sample, review these points:

  • Durable and wash-tolerant: strong stitching at shoulders, underarms and the crotch seam, and fabric that neither pills nor fades after repeated washing. Site clothes need laundering far more often than office wear.
  • Breathable and absorbent: Ho Chi Minh City is hot and humid, and engineers often stand in the sun for hours. Stuffy fabric tires the wearer quickly.
  • Colours that stay presentable: mid and dark tones such as navy, grey or khaki suit the site, since white picks up dust fast. Office teams can use lighter shades to set themselves apart.
  • Compatible with safety gear: helmets, boots and high-visibility vests required by the project are supplied separately. Sleeves should be moderate, collars flat and pockets clear of belts so everything wears comfortably together.
  • Identification: an embroidered logo on the left chest and a title or name badge in a fixed position.

Six steps from survey to warranty

Hoàng Vy – Mon Amie was founded in 1991 and works with more than 500 companies each year:

  1. Survey and consultation at your premises, ending with a proposal and price range.
  2. Design and fabrics: three options in your brand colours, with real swatches.
  3. Approved sample: production starts only once you sign off.
  4. Individual measuring at your office, stored under employee IDs.
  5. Production in our 1,000 m² workshop on 3/2 Street, with quality checks at three stages (cutting, assembly, finishing) and weekly progress updates.
  6. Delivery, fitting and adjustment on site, plus free alteration warranty for 3 years at every showroom.

Allow 4–6 weeks after sample approval. Measuring follows your schedule, including outside office hours, so it can be set for a day when the site team is in the office.

Frequently asked questions

Does a uniform replace protective equipment?

No. Helmets, boots and other safety gear required by the project are prepared separately. The uniform is designed to be worn comfortably with that equipment and to identify your people.

Polo or long-sleeved shirt for site engineers?

A cotton piqué polo breathes and washes easily, so it suits active work. A long-sleeved shirt covers more in the sun and looks neater when meeting owners. You can choose both in one colour family and let wearers switch through the day.

How do we order for staff who change between projects?

Newcomers are measured individually and made to the approved sample so they match the existing team; measurements already taken are stored under employee IDs for later batches. Alterations are covered by the free 3-year warranty at every showroom.

What is the minimum order?

Jackets from 5 pieces; shirts, trousers, skirts and industry uniforms from 20; T-shirts and polos from 30. We explain how the minimums apply to your mix during consultation.
