Approving a sample before bulk production: Mon Amie's rule

Approving a sample before bulk production lets a company confirm colour, fit and logo first. Mon Amie Uniform produces only after the sample is signed off.

Approving a sample before bulk production: Mon Amie's rule

Approving a sample before bulk production means the company looks at, tries on and signs a complete sample before the workshop makes the garments for all staff. At Mon Amie Uniform this is a fixed rule: we produce only after your company signs off the sample. The reason is practical, because correcting one sample costs less and takes less time than correcting an entire batch.

Why photos and colour charts are not enough

Photos and colour charts give direction, but they cannot settle a whole uniform order. These things only show on a real sample:

  • True colour: a screen differs from cloth, and cloth changes under office light and daylight.
  • Weight and drape: known only by touching, crumpling and wearing the fabric.
  • Fit on a real body: the same pattern sits differently on different builds.
  • Logo position and size: balanced on a drawing, but possibly off on the finished shirt.
  • Behaviour in the wash: known only after a test wash.

Our rule: three steps to a signature

The sign-off follows two earlier steps:

  1. Survey and consultation at your premises, ending with a proposal and price range.
  2. Design and fabrics: we prepare three options based on your identity colours, with real swatches you can handle.
  3. Approved sample: you choose an option and we make a complete sample. Only when you sign it off does the order go into production.

This is also the time marker for planning: allow 4–6 weeks after sample approval for measuring, making and delivery. The earlier you approve the sample, the earlier your team receives the uniform.

What to check on the sample

Use this table when the sample arrives:

Item How to check Common slip
Colour View in office light and outdoors, next to your sign or logo Looking under one light source only
Fabric Touch, crumple, stretch gently; inspect both sides Choosing from a photo, then surprised by thickness
Fit Have 2–3 people of different builds try it; sit, raise arms, bend Testing on one person only
Logo and badge Check position, size and sharpness Logo too close to a seam
Stitching and trims Inspect thread, buttons, zips and lining Ignoring the inside
Washing Test-wash once the way staff will launder it Discovering fading or shrinkage later

Who should sign, and what happens next

A signature carries weight when the signer represents everyone involved:

  • The decision-maker: a leader or delegate responsible for cost and image.
  • A representative of the wearers: at least one person from a team that wears the uniform daily, such as reception, sales or office staff. They spot the snags quickly.
  • HR or administration: the person who will manage reorders later.

After sign-off, the sample becomes the standard for all production and for later top-up orders. We measure each employee at your office, store measurements under employee IDs, produce in our workshop with quality checks at three stages (cutting, assembly, finishing), report progress weekly, and deliver. Fitting and adjustment happen on site at delivery, and alterations are covered by a free 3-year warranty at every showroom. The full six-step process has its own page.

Why we hold to this rule

The sample rule sits alongside the scale we work at:

  • Hoàng Vy was founded in 1991; Mon Amie Uniform is the corporate uniform brand.
  • Our 1,000 m² workshop on 3/2 Street has more than 80 skilled tailors.
  • We work with more than 500 companies each year, so a flaw missed at sample stage could multiply across a whole batch.
  • 5 showrooms in Ho Chi Minh City: Nguyễn Trãi, Hồ Văn Huê, 3/2 Street, Caravelle and Nguyễn Thị Thập, where you can see more fabrics.

Our company profile has the full details. Producing only after sign-off gives your company and our workshop one shared standard to check against.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a charge for the sample?

Mon Amie confirms the cost of making a sample during consultation, because it depends on fabric, style and order size. What is certain is that the order goes into production only after you sign off the sample.

What if we are not happy with the sample?

Tell us what you want changed and we adjust. The order does not enter production until the sample is signed. We confirm the number of rounds and timing during consultation.

Can we change anything after approval?

After signature the sample is the standard for production and for later top-ups, so check carefully before signing. If you need a change, talk to us and we will tell you how it affects the schedule.

Will new staff match the approved sample?

Yes. Measurements are stored under employee IDs and new staff order from the approved sample, so they match the existing team.
