Security company uniforms: standards, fabrics and cost
Security company uniforms should be recognisable, colourfast and comfortable. Mon Amie Uniform covers standards, fabrics and prices from 300,000 VND.

A security company uniform is a set of clothing that keeps guards and security officers looking composed, easy to recognise and ready for long hours on post or on patrol. A good one rests on three things: clear company identity through colour, logo and name badge; fabric that stays colourfast through frequent washing; and comfort across long shifts, outdoors as well as inside buildings. Below are the roles, selection criteria, fabrics and starting prices.
Who wears what
A security company usually has several groups with different needs:
- Gate and building guards: shirt and trousers form the base. Because they are worn all day, the fabric must breathe and resist creasing.
- Patrol and outdoor staff: breathable, quick-drying cloth and easy movement matter most; a polo or short-sleeved shirt is a familiar choice at hot posts.
- Team leaders and supervisors: the same tones as the team, plus a waistcoat or jacket, or a separate badge, so both colleagues and visitors can see who is in charge.
- Officers in office towers and hotels: often dressed more formally, as they meet visitors every day.
Standards worth checking before approval
Guards are often the first people a visitor sees, so the uniform should look consistent at every post. Points to review:
- Identity: colour and logo tell outsiders at once which company provides the service; the name badge sits in a fixed, visible position.
- Industry rules: styling and insignia should comply with current regulations on security-service attire. Please check the rules before finalising the design; Mon Amie makes the garments to the design your company approves.
- Weather: dark colours stay tidy but absorb heat in direct sun, so outdoor posts may suit a mid-dark tone with breathable cloth. Night shifts may call for an outer layer.
- Movement: the back, underarm and crotch seam take the strain on patrol or long sitting; a little stretch reduces fatigue.
- Wash durability: colour holds through frequent laundering, with no pilling or fading logo.
- Rotation: one pattern and a stable size range make it easier to redeploy guards between sites.

Fabrics by post
Real swatches are shown to your team at the design stage. Common choices:
| Position | Fabric family | Strengths | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guard shirts | Cotton-polyester blend | Breathable, low-crease, durable | Less soft than pure cotton |
| Trousers | Polyester-viscose with spandex | Holds shape, light stretch | Press on medium heat |
| Polos for outdoor posts | Cotton piqué | Absorbent, hard-wearing | Softer structure, not for jackets |
| Waistcoats, supervisor jackets | Polyester-viscose with spandex | Holds shape, low-crease | Avoid high heat when pressing |

Six steps from survey to warranty
Hoàng Vy – Mon Amie was founded in 1991, runs a 1,000 m² workshop on 3/2 Street and works with more than 500 companies each year. The process, described in full on our six-step process page:
- Survey and consultation at your company, ending with a proposal and price range.
- Design and fabrics: three options built on your brand colours, with real swatches.
- Approved sample: production starts only after you sign off the sample.
- Individual measuring at your office or a gathering point, on your schedule, including outside office hours. Measurements are stored under employee IDs.
- Production with quality checks at three stages (cutting, assembly, finishing) and weekly progress updates.
- Delivery, fitting and adjustment on site, plus free alteration warranty for 3 years at every showroom.
Allow 4–6 weeks after sample approval for measuring, making and delivery. For guards who work in shifts, measuring outside office hours avoids pulling people off post, and new recruits are measured individually and made to the approved sample.
Frequently asked questions
What colour should a security uniform be?
Choose a dark tone or your own brand colour so the uniform stays tidy and is easy to tell apart from other companies. For hot outdoor posts, a mid-dark tone with breathable cloth works well. Mon Amie presents three options in your brand colours for comparison before approval.
How do we measure staff across several posts?
Our measuring team visits on your schedule, including outside office hours. You can group staff by shift or gathering point, and the exact plan is agreed during consultation.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the item: industry uniforms, shirts, trousers and accessories from 20 pieces, T-shirts and polos from 30, waistcoats and jackets from 5. We explain the minimums for your mix during consultation.
