What an on-site uniform fitting day looks like

A uniform fitting day at your company is when Mon Amie's mobile measuring team comes to your office, measures each employee on your schedule, including outside office hours, and records the figures under employee IDs. It is step 4 of our six-step process, after your company has signed off the sample. This guide walks through the day, from preparation to what happens afterwards, so that HR knows what to arrange.

Before the day: what the company prepares

Good preparation keeps the day smooth and limits disruption to work:

  • Employee list: with employee ID, department, job title and the items each person will wear (shirt, jacket, trousers, skirt and so on).
  • A room: a quiet room or corner with space to stand comfortably and a degree of privacy.
  • Shift schedule: split time slots by department so the whole office does not stop at once; if some staff work outside office hours, tell us in advance.
  • A note to staff: wear fitted, not bulky, clothing so the figures reflect their true shape.
  • A single contact: one HR person to manage the order of appointments and check the list.

On the day: what happens in sequence

  1. Check employee IDs against the list, so every measurement file belongs to the right person.
  2. Take the measurements needed for the chosen items. Jackets, shirts, trousers and skirts need different figures, so the team asks which items each person wears.
  3. Note body characteristics where needed, such as a slightly sloping shoulder or longer arms, so the tailor can account for them.
  4. Store the figures under the employee ID. The data is reused in later orders.
  5. Move to the next person, until the list for that slot is complete.

Time per person depends on how many items are measured, so we do not quote one figure; slots are agreed when the visit is scheduled.

The three stages at a glance

Stage Mon Amie Your company
Before the day Schedules, confirms items, prepares files from your list Sends the list with IDs, chooses a room, informs staff
Fitting day Measures each person, notes details, stores figures under IDs Coordinates the order and releases staff by time slot
Afterwards Sends figures to the workshop, produces, updates weekly Responds if anyone needs remeasuring or a changed item

Situations that come up

  • Absent employees: agree on how to handle them when the visit is scheduled, so a whole round does not have to be repeated.
  • Personal fit preferences: someone may prefer a looser shirt or closer trousers. Tell the team so it goes on the file.
  • Shift work: measuring follows each shift, including outside office hours.
  • People who join later: they order additional pieces from the approved sample and are measured at another appointment.
  • Changing builds: the alteration warranty lets you adjust after delivery.

After the day: where the figures go

The figures, stored by employee ID, go to Hoàng Vy – Mon Amie's 1,000 m² workshop on 3/2 Street, where more than 80 skilled tailors work. Production passes quality checks at three stages: cutting, assembly and finishing. We send weekly progress updates so HR does not need to chase. Allow 4–6 weeks after sample approval for measuring, making and delivery.

Delivery day: fitting and adjusting on the spot

Uniforms are delivered to your premises. Staff try them on, and if anything is not right our tailors adjust it there and then. Afterwards, alterations are covered by the free 3-year warranty at every showroom. Mon Amie has five showrooms in Ho Chi Minh City: Nguyễn Trãi, Hồ Văn Huê, 3/2 Street, Caravelle and Nguyễn Thị Thập, open 8:30 to 21:00 (3/2 Street until 21:30). Frequently asked questions

What should employees prepare before being measured?

Wear fitted clothing that is not too thick, so the figures reflect their real shape. If they own a shirt or jacket that fits very well, they can ask the team whether to bring it as a reference.

Do employees have to take time off to be measured?

No. The team comes to your office on your schedule, including outside office hours, so employees do not need to travel to a showroom.

How are the measurements reused?

Figures are stored under employee IDs. When you reorder, the records of people already measured are reused, so they do not need to be measured again; new staff are measured individually and made to the approved sample.

What happens if an employee is absent on the measuring day?

Agree on how to handle it with Mon Amie when the visit is scheduled, so a whole round does not have to be repeated. Staff who join after the visit are measured at another appointment.
