Uniforms for training institutes and corporate academies
Uniforms for training institutes and corporate academies must separate faculty, admin and learners. Here is how Mon Amie's six steps apply.

Uniforms for training institutes and corporate academies help faculty, administrative staff and learners be recognised at once in class and at events, while presenting a tidy image for the institution. The practical approach is to dress by role, choose styles that stay comfortable through a teaching day, and measure outside class hours so lessons are not disrupted.
Who wears what in a training institute
Each role works at a different rhythm, so each needs its own set within one visual identity:
| Role | Typical set | Points to check |
|---|---|---|
| Institute directors | Jacket, shirt, trousers or skirt | Same tones, different outer layer to mark leadership |
| Faculty and trainers | Shirt, trousers or skirt; jacket or waistcoat for events | Standing for hours, so breathable, low-crease cloth |
| Course advisors and admissions staff | Shirt with trousers or skirt | The first point of contact for learners |
| Learners on long programmes or onboarding courses | Polo or T-shirt | Absorbent, easy to launder, easy to tell apart by cohort |
In a corporate academy, an internal training unit, learners are the company's own employees, so measurements can be stored under employee IDs and reused for later cohorts.
Lessons from applying the process to training
Hoàng Vy – Mon Amie was founded in 1991, runs a 1,000 m² workshop on 3/2 Street with more than 80 skilled tailors and works with more than 500 companies each year. Below, that way of working is applied to a campus setting. Mon Amie Uniform has worked with Central Tech Việt Nam, and the photo below shows one project with this organisation.

Four points follow from that approach:
- Start from roles, not from styles: list who wears the uniform, when and for how long before choosing a cut.
- Approve the sample with real users: let a trainer teach a full session and a learner sit through a full day in the sample, instead of leadership alone approving.
- Schedule measuring outside class hours: training providers often run evening or weekend classes, and Mon Amie measures on site on your schedule, including outside office hours.
- Fix the sample for cohort reorders: learners change by cohort, so the approved style must be repeatable exactly.
Standards for a learning environment
- A fixed identity colour: choose a lasting base colour for the whole institution; to distinguish cohorts, change a scarf, badge or lanyard rather than making a new set.
- Breathable, low-crease cloth: classrooms are enclosed and busy, so use breathable cloth for trainers and absorbent polos for learners.
- Tidy logo: one fixed position for the institute logo and a readable name badge, so trainers and learners recognise each other quickly.

Frequently asked questions
Should learners dress differently from trainers?
Use the same identity colours with different styles: shirts or jackets for trainers, polos or T-shirts for learners. This separates roles in the room while keeping colours aligned.
How do we order learner uniforms by cohort?
Fix one style, then order additional batches from the approved sample; T-shirts and polos have a minimum of 30. In a corporate academy, measurements are stored under employee IDs. For an institute with outside learners, Mon Amie will discuss how to manage sizes during consultation.
Can measuring happen outside class hours?
Yes. Mon Amie measures on site on your schedule, including outside office hours, so sessions can be set in breaks or after teaching.
